GMT on communications panel at Waterkeeper Alliance Conference
Nina Schwartz, the membership coordinator at GMT, spoke at a progressive communications and advocacy panel at the Waterkeeper Alliance Conference on Thursday June 25th. Her speech focused on strategies and tactics to target a specific media audience.
Waterkeeper Alliance is an international network of nearly 200 programs working on clean water and river issues across six continents. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Alliance, Waterkeeper had several distinguished environmental leaders speak, including President Bill Clinton, Richard Heinberg, and Dr. James Hansen, on the pertinence of water issues and next steps for the United States to become a leader in Climate Change action.
