Beyond Nuclear and "Into Eternity"-A Haunting Look at the Future of Radioactive Waste Screenings

Beyond Nuclear, a GMT member that works to promote a world free from nuclear power and weapons is excited to announce that they are a distributor for the new film, “Into Eternity”-A Haunting look at the future of radioactive waste.  The film explores the “impossibility of storing nuclear waste for 100,000 or even a million years” a reality that is being faced by the workers at the Onkalo storage facility in Finland. This film introduces the viewer to the provocative issues surrounding nuclear waste storage in a beautifully artistic manner.

The prominent Washington D.C. restaurant Busboys and Poets is collaborating with Beyond Nuclear and their partner— Specialty Studios— to offer screenings at their various locations over the next week. Please refer to the screening dates, times, and locations provided below if you are interested in catching a screening at Busboys and Poets.  After the screenings Beyond Nuclear staff will be on hand to lead a Q&A discussion about the film and what can be done to address radioactive waste risks in the U.S.
